My name is Deacon Ron Baker. I was born in Glendale and have been a parishioner of Holy Family Parish my whole life. I attended Holy Family Grade School and Bellarmine Jefferson High School in Burbank, where I met my beloved wife Patti. We were married in 1981 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Burbank. We have two adult sons, Jeffrey who is a priest at St. Gregory the Great in Whittier and Matthew who is a US postal carrier in Northern California.
I attended Pepperdine University where I obtained a BS in Business management. I obtained my MBA with a focus on Human Resources from Woodbury University in 1999. I retired from AT&T after 36 years. I was ordained a permanent deacon at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles on June 9, 2012. I am now a staff member at Holy Family serving as Director of Operations and Ministries for over five years.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, watching movies and the Los Angeles Dodgers! In my ministry I enjoy working with the marginalized and helping other volunteers to develop their skills in ministering to the marginalized. I enjoy working with the members of Holy Family Catholic Community to build up God's Kingdom.
